David Tennant has fuelled speculation of a return to Doctor Who by insisting a comeback is creatively possible. The Tenth Doctor - rumoured to be guest-starring in the sci-fi drama’s 50th anniversary year - admitted however that Billie Piper’s reluctance to appear could prove “problematic”.

 ”I’ll always be able to come back in the alternate world because the Doctor will age like a normal human,” “Billie probably wouldn’t come back and that’s what would be problematic.

It’s always possible but I can’t tell you if there are any plans yet.”
